Sunan Ibn Majah 1694

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that Zaid bin Thabit said:
“We ate Suhur with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then we got up to perform prayer.” I said: “How long was there between the two?” He said: “As long as it takes to recite fifty Verses.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ تَسَحَّرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ ﷺ ـ ثُمَّ قُمْنَا إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ . قُلْتُ كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً .
