(64) – باب مَا جَاءَ فِي ذِكْرِ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
(64) – What was narrated concerning the sickness of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)
Sunan Ibn Majah 1625
It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, during the illness that would be his last:
“The prayer, and those whom your hands possess.”* And he kept on saying it until his tongue could no longer utter any words.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ، عَنْ سَفِينَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ " الصَّلاَةَ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ " . فَمَا زَالَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى مَا يَفِيضَ بِهَا لِسَانُهُ .
