Sunan Ibn Majah 1293

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not pray before the ‘Eid prayer, but when he went back to his house he would pray two Rak’ah.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ﷺ ـ لاَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ شَيْئًا فَإِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ .
