Sunan Ibn Majah 1043

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ
said:
‘Do not lift your gaze to the heavens lest your sight be
snatched away,” meaning during prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ﷺ ـ " لاَ تَرْفَعُوا أَبْصَارَكُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَنْ تَلْتَمِعَ " . يَعْنِي فِي الصَّلاَةِ .
