Prohibition Of Selling Fruits Before They Have Ripened
باب النَّهْىِ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْدُوَ، صَلاَحُهَا
Sunan Ibn Majah, Book of The Business Transactions(view book)
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Do not sell fruits until they have ripened." And he forbade (both) the seller and the purchaser (to engage in such a transaction).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ " لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا " . نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ .
Classification
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Do not sell fruits until they have ripened."'
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ " لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ " .
Classification
It was narrated from Jabir that :
the Prophet ﷺ forbade selling fruits until they have ripened.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ .
Classification
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that :
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruits until they have changed the color, and selling grapes until they have turned black, and selling grains until they have hardened.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْعِنَبِ حَتَّى يَسْوَدَّ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَبِّ حَتَّى يَشْتَدَّ .
