"Three individuals came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said: 'We have a companion who is ill, so could you prescribe medication for him?' The Prophet remained silent for a while, then he repeated their request with the words: 'Prescribe him (the medication) if you wish, and if you wish, also perform Rukyah (supplication and prayer for healing).' – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنْبَأَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ نَفَرٍ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ صَاحِبًا لَنَا مَرِيضٌ فَوُصِفَ لَنَا الْكَيُّ أَفَنَكْوِيهِ؟ فَسَكَتَ ثُمَّ عَادَ ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ «اكْوُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَارْضِفُوهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم
