Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq > Muḥammad b. Ayyūb > Shaybān al-Aylī > Jarīr b. Ḥāzim > Suhayl b. Abū Ṣāliḥ from his father > Abū Hurayrah

On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever says, when evening comes, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' three times, nothing will harm him throughout that night, even if he is bitten by a snake." He said: "And whenever one of his family members was stung by a scorpion, he would say the same words."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أَنْبَأَ شَيْبَانُ الْأَيْلِيُّ ثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُمْسِي أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ لَمْ تَضُرَّهُ حَيَّةُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ قَالَ وَكَانَ إِذَا لُدِغَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ إِنْسَانٌ قَالَ مَا قَالَ الْكَلِمَاتِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
