al-Ḥasan b. Yaʿqūb > Yaḥyá b. Abū Ṭālib > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Khālid > Abū al-Malīḥ > Nubayshah > Saʾal

From Nubayshah, he said: A man asked the Prophet ﷺ saying, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to offer sacrifices during the pre-Islamic period of Ignorance in the month of Rajab. What do you command us to do?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Offer sacrifices to Allah in any month you want and do good deeds for Allah, and feed the needy." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَنْبَأَ خَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ نُبَيْشَةَ قَالَ

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَعْتِرُ عَتِيرَةً فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَمِنْ رَجَبٍ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اذْبَحُوا لِلَّهِ فِي أَيِّ شَهْرٍ مَا كَانَ وَبَرُّوا لِلَّهِ وَأَطْعِمُوا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح
