Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq > Abū al-Muthanná > Musaddad > ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Muḥammad b. Isḥāq > Yazīd b. ʿAbdullāh b. Qusayṭ > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab

Narrated by Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , she said: "I love to sacrifice a young lamb more than sacrificing an old goat." And this hadith has been attributed to Abu Hurairah.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ «لَأَنْ أُضَحِّيَ بِجَذَعٍ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُضَحِّيَ بِمُسِنَّةٍ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ» وَقَدْ أُسْنِدَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
