"To plant five hundred saplings for them, and if they sprout, then I am free, so I went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, so he said, 'Plant them and stipulate for them, and when you want to plant, inform me.' So he came and started planting, except for one that I planted with my own hand, and all of them sprouted except for the one." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ كَاتَبْتُ أَهْلِي عَلَى

أَنْ أَغْرِسَ لَهُمْ خَمْسَ مِائَةِ فُسَيْلَةٍ فَإِذَا عَلَقَتْ فَأَنَا حُرٌّ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «اغْرِسْ وَاشْتَرِطْ لَهُمْ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَغْرِسَ فَآذِنِّي» فَجَاءَ فَجَعَلَ يَغْرِسُ إِلَّا وَاحِدَةً غَرَسْتُهَا بِيَدِي فَعَلَقَتْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا الْوَاحِدَةُ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم
