ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥusayn al-Qāḍī > al-Ḥārith b. Abū Usāmah > Yazīd b. Hārūn > ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd b. Sulaymān > Muḥammad b. ʿAjlān > And Thīmah al-Baṣrī > Abū Hurayrah > Qāl Rasūl

that the Messenger of Allah said: "If there comes to you one with whose character and religious commitment you are pleased, then marry (your daughter or female relative under your care) to him, for if you do not do that there will be Fitnah in the land and widespread corruption.'"

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ وَثِيمَةَ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَتَاكُمْ مَنْ تَرْضَوْنَ خُلُقَهُ وَدِينَهُ فَأَنْكِحُوهُ أَلَّا تَفْعَلُوا تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ عَرِيضٌ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
