ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad al-Qāḍī > Ibrāhīm b. al-Ḥusayn > Saʿīd b. Abū Maryam And ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṣāliḥ > al-Layth > Abū Hāniʾ al-Khawlānī > ʿAmr b. Mālik al-Laythī > Faḍālah b. ʿUbayd

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Shall I inform you about the believer? The believer is the one whom people trust with their lives and wealth. And a Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe. And the Mujahid (striver in the cause of Allah) is the one who strives against his soul in obedience to Allah. And the Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who emigrates from sins and wrongdoing." There is another addition to the condition of being a Muslim that Al-Dhahabi omitted in his summary. – Remains Silent
