Abū al-Walīd Ḥassān b. Muḥammad al-Qurashī al-Faqīh > Musaddad b. Qaṭan b. Ibrāhīm > Dāwud b. Rushayd > Ṣāliḥ b. ʿUmar > Ibrāhīm al-Hajarī > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > ʿAbdullāh

Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Indeed, this Quran is the banquet of Allah, so accept from His banquet what you can. Indeed, this Quran is the rope of Allah, the bright light, and the beneficial cure. It is a protection for those who hold onto it and a means of salvation for those who follow it. It does not deviate, so it should be sought for refuge and it does not twist, so it should be reinforced. Its wonders do not cease to exist and it is not created by the abundance of repetition. Recite it, for indeed, Allah rewards you for every letter with ten good deeds. I do not say 'Alif, Lam, Meem' is one letter, but rather 'Alif' is one letter, 'Lam' is one letter, and 'Meem' is one letter."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ حَسَّانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ قَطَنِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَنْبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَأْدُبَةُ اللَّهِ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مَأْدُبَتِهِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ حَبْلُ اللَّهِ وَالنُّورُ الْمُبِينُ وَالشِّفَاءُ النَّافِعُ عِصْمَةٌ لِمَنْ تَمَسَّكَ بِهِ وَنَجَاةٌ لِمَنْ تَبِعَهُ لَا يَزِيغُ فَيُسْتَعْتَبَ وَلَا يَعْوَجُّ فَيُقَوَّمُ وَلَا تَنْقَضِي عَجَائِبُهُ وَلَا يَخْلَقُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الرَّدِّ اتْلُوهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْجُرُكُمْ عَلَى تِلَاوَتِهِ كُلَّ حَرْفٍ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ أَمَا إِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ الم حَرْفٌ وَلَكِنْ أَلِفٌ وَلَامٌ وَمِيمٌ» «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِصَالِحِ بْنِ عُمَرَ»
