"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever recites the Quran has indeed brought himself closer to prophethood, though he does not receive revelation. It is not appropriate for the companion of the Quran to associate with those who cut off ties, nor to remain ignorant when others are ignorant. The words of Allah, the Most High, are within his chest.'"

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَقَدِ اسْتَدَرَجَ النُّبُوَّةَ بَيْنَ جَنْبَيْهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ أَنْ يَحِدَّ مَعَ مَنْ حَدَّ وَلَا يَجْهَلَ مَعَ مَنْ جَهِلَ وَفِي جَوْفِهِ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى» «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
