Mustadrak al-Hakim 1811

Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq al-Faqīh > Abū al-Muthanná > Musaddad > Bishr b. al-Mufaḍḍal > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Isḥāq > Saʿīd al-Maqburī > Abū Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No group of people gathers and then disperses without mentioning the name of Allah, as if they have dispersed with nothing but the hoofprints of a donkey."

حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ ثُمَّ تَفَرَّقُوا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ كَأَنَّمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا عَنْ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ»
