Mustadrak al-Hakim 1622

Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb al-Ḥāfiẓ > Ibrāhīm b. ʿAbdullāh > Abū ʿĀṣim al-Nabīl > ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd b. Jaʿfar > Saʿīd al-Maqburī > ʿAṭāʾ > Abū Hurayrah > Baʿath

Ibrahim ibn Abdullah narrated that Abu Asim al-Nabil narrated from Abdul Hamid ibn Ja'far, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Ata', from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a group of people and said, "What portion of the Quran do you have with you?" So, they recited it to him. He continued doing this until he came across a man who was the youngest among them. He asked him, "What do you have with you, O so and so?" The man replied, "I have this and that, and Surah Al-Baqarah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go, for you are their leader."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ

ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعْثًا وَهُمْ نَفَرٌ فَقَالَ «مَاذَا مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ؟» فَاسْتَقْرَأَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ هُوَ مِنْ أَحْدَثِهِمْ سِنًّا فَقَالَ «مَاذَا مَعَكَ يَا فُلَانُ؟» قَالَ مَعِي كَذَا وَكَذَا وَسُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ قَالَ «اذْهَبْ فَأَنْتَ أَمِيرُهُمْ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
