The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the saying of Allah, "Whoever is able to find a way [to perform Hajj]/[to reach it]" [Surah Al-Imran 97]. So, it was said, "What is the way?" He said, "Provisions and a means of transportation."

حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حَمْدَوَيْهِ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ {مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا} [آل عمران 97] فَقِيلَ مَا السَّبِيلُ؟ قَالَ «الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
