Mustadrak al-Hakim 1243

Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq al-Faqīh And ʾAbū Bakr b. Bālawayh al-Jallāb > Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. al-Naḍr > Muʿāwiyah b. ʿAmr > Zāʾidah > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > ʿĀʾishah

"The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he said, 'Verily, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. So when you see them, give charity, pray, glorify Allah, and supplicate to Him.'"

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ بَالَوَيْهِ الْجَلَّابُ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْخَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَتَصَدَّقُوا وَصَلُّوا وَكَبِّرُوا وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ
