Mustadrak al-Hakim 1237

Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Mūsá al-Qāḍī Bibukhārá > Muḥammad b. Ayyūb > Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī from my father from his father > al-Rabīʿ b. Anas > Abū al-ʿĀliyah > Ubay b. Kaʿb

"The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and the Prophet ﷺ led them in prayer. He recited a long Surah, then performed five rak'ahs, and made two prostrations. Then he stood for the second time, recited from the same long Surah, and performed five rak'ahs again, followed by two prostrations. Then he sat facing the Qiblah, making supplications, until the eclipse was over. The two Shaykhs (Abu Bakr and Umar) may Allah be pleased with them, both narrated this hadith from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, and did not differ on its authenticity. His status among other scholars was the most honorable. This hadith contains words and its transmitters are trustworthy."
