Mustadrak al-Hakim 1222

Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. ʿAffān al-ʿĀmirī > Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd > Misʿar b. Kidām > Yazīd al-Faqīr > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

The people came to the Prophet ﷺ weeping (due to drought). He said (making supplication): O Allah! give us rain which will replenish us, abundant, fertilising and profitable, not injurious, granting it now without delay. He (the narrator) said: Thereupon the sky became overcast.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَوَاكِي فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيئًا مَرِيعًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ آجِلٍ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ فَأَطْبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
