Narrated Ash-Sha'bi:

from 'Ali when the latter stoned a lady to death on a Friday. 'Ali said, "I have stoned her according to the tradition of Allah's Apostle."

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رضى الله عنه حِينَ رَجَمَ الْمَرْأَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَقَالَ قَدْ رَجَمْتُهَا بِسُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ.
