Saying "let my father and mother be sacrificed for you".
باب قَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ فَدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي

Narrated 'Ali:
I never heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you," except for Sa'd (bin Abi Waqqas). I heard him saying, "Throw! (arrows), Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you !" (The sub-narrator added, "I think that was in the battle of Uhud.")
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُفَدِّي أَحَدًا غَيْرَ سَعْدٍ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ " ارْمِ فَدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي ". أَظُنُّهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ.
