Jabir bin ‘Abd Allah said “The Apostle of Allaahﷺ said to me “Did you marry?” I said “Yes”. He again said “Virgin or Non Virgin (woman previously married)?” I said “Non Virgin”. He said “Why (did you) not (marry) a virgin with whom you could sport and she could sport with you.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ " أَتَزَوَّجْتَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " بِكْرًا أَمْ ثَيِّبًا " . فَقُلْتُ ثَيِّبًا . قَالَ " أَفَلاَ بِكْرٌ تُلاَعِبُهَا وَتُلاَعِبُكَ " .
