The Moon
﷽
The Noble Qur'an ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿١﴾ |
English - Sahih International The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].(1) |
The Noble Qur'an وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ ﴿٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."(2) |
The Noble Qur'an وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ﴿٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.(3) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ ﴿٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -(4) |
The Noble Qur'an حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].(5) |
The Noble Qur'an فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ ﴿٦﴾ |
English - Sahih International So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,(6) |
The Noble Qur'an خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُّنتَشِرٌ ﴿٧﴾ |
English - Sahih International Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,(7) |
The Noble Qur'an مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ ﴿٨﴾ |
English - Sahih International Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."(8) |
The Noble Qur'an ۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌ وَٱزْدُجِرَ ﴿٩﴾ |
English - Sahih International The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.(9) |
The Noble Qur'an فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌ فَٱنتَصِرْ ﴿١٠﴾ |
English - Sahih International So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."(10) |
The Noble Qur'an فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ ﴿١١﴾ |
English - Sahih International Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down(11) |
The Noble Qur'an وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ ﴿١٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.(12) |
The Noble Qur'an وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍ وَدُسُرٍ ﴿١٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,(13) |
The Noble Qur'an تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءً لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ ﴿١٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.(14) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةً فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿١٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?(15) |
The Noble Qur'an فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٦﴾ |
English - Sahih International And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.(16) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿١٧﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?(17) |
The Noble Qur'an كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٨﴾ |
English - Sahih International 'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.(18) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ ﴿١٩﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,(19) |
The Noble Qur'an تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ ﴿٢٠﴾ |
English - Sahih International Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.(20) |
The Noble Qur'an فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٢١﴾ |
English - Sahih International And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.(21) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ع ﴿٢٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?(22) |
The Noble Qur'an كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٢٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International Thamud denied the warning(23) |
The Noble Qur'an فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ﴿٢٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.(24) |
The Noble Qur'an أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ ﴿٢٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."(25) |
The Noble Qur'an سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ ﴿٢٦﴾ |
English - Sahih International They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.(26) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ ﴿٢٧﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient.(27) |
The Noble Qur'an وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ ﴿٢٨﴾ |
English - Sahih International And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn].(28) |
The Noble Qur'an فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ﴿٢٩﴾ |
English - Sahih International But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].(29) |
The Noble Qur'an فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٠﴾ |
English - Sahih International And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.(30) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ ﴿٣١﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.(31) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٣٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?(32) |
The Noble Qur'an كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International The people of Lot denied the warning.(33) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍ ﴿٣٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn(34) |
The Noble Qur'an نِّعْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ ﴿٣٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.(35) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٦﴾ |
English - Sahih International And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning.(36) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٧﴾ |
English - Sahih International And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning."(37) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ﴿٣٨﴾ |
English - Sahih International And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.(38) |
The Noble Qur'an فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٩﴾ |
English - Sahih International So taste My punishment and warning.(39) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ع ﴿٤٠﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?(40) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٤١﴾ |
English - Sahih International And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning.(41) |
The Noble Qur'an كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ ﴿٤٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.(42) |
The Noble Qur'an أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٤٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?(43) |
The Noble Qur'an أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُّنتَصِرٌ ﴿٤٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?(44) |
The Noble Qur'an سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ ﴿٤٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].(45) |
The Noble Qur'an بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ ﴿٤٦﴾ |
English - Sahih International But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.(46) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ﴿٤٧﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.(47) |
The Noble Qur'an يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ﴿٤٨﴾ |
English - Sahih International The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."(48) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ ﴿٤٩﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, all things We created with predestination.(49) |
The Noble Qur'an وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ ﴿٥٠﴾ |
English - Sahih International And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.(50) |
The Noble Qur'an وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٥١﴾ |
English - Sahih International And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?(51) |
The Noble Qur'an وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٥٢﴾ |
English - Sahih International And everything they did is in written records.(52) |
The Noble Qur'an وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُّسْتَطَرٌ ﴿٥٣﴾ |
English - Sahih International And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.(53) |
The Noble Qur'an إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَنَهَرٍ ﴿٥٤﴾ |
English - Sahih International Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,(54) |
The Noble Qur'an فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ ع ﴿٥٥﴾ |
English - Sahih International In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.(55) |
